When TJ and I lived and ministered in North Carolina, we were incredibly blessed to be adopted by an elder and his family, Eric and Yvonne Craver. There is a long list of blessings the Cravers provided us with, but there is one I often think about. Every Thursday evening Eric, Yvonne, their son Justin, TJ, Ike, and I would all enjoy a family dinner at Granny and Papa’s house. Often times we were joined by other cousins or friends. This weekly tradition was not only beneficial for the delicious home cooked meal, but for the atmosphere of belonging that it provided!
Thursday evening dinners around that table are some of my most fond memories of North Carolina. Sometimes I just needed to sit, relax, enjoy food and be surrounded by friends and family. Do you think you could benefit from that atmosphere as well?
On November 4 TCC is inviting you and your family to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of a family meal. Our annual TCC Harvest Banquet is taking on a different, more relaxed feel this year. We simply just want to be together. We’ll sit together, eat together, relax together and enjoy just being together.
Make plans to join us at our family dinner on Sunday, November 4. We’ll meet on the TCC campus from 5:30-7:30 pm. If you are interested in bringing a dish to share, please visit troycc.org/harvestbanquet
